Obelisk and plaque dedicated to Thomas Haswell, long-time headmaster of The Royal Jubilee School, which stood on this site between 1811 and 1971. Although it closed as a school in1935 it continued in use, including as a swimming pool until its demolition and replacement as a garden area.
