The Ouseburn has several bridges, but until 2009 it was a smelly mudflat when the tide was out. The Barrage keeps water in the burn even at low tide, but allows access for boats. It was struck by lightning in 2010 and was still not functioning late in 2012. In April 2013 both barriers were raised at high tide, but whether this means they are fixed I could not tell.
