McNulty Yard, South Shields - October 2012 Sleeping up to 90 men in 42 modules, 21 metres wide and 27 metres long. It was fabricated at Tursdale, transported to Montrose for sandblasting and painting, then transported to Aberdeen for fitting out, then finally transported to South Shields for assembly. |

Financial problems prevented completion and it remained there until cleaned-up and collected, in 2021, by barge 'Robyn S' seen alongside the quay | |

It was moved to Swan Hunter Yard, before an intended move to Blyth, before, allegedly, being converted to a hospital in South America. However, that never happened and as of January 2nd 2024 it sits at Shepherd's Quay, still on The Tyne (This photo by Richard Athey) | |
