In 2017 the yard changed hands once again to Smulders Projects. The Belgian firm, Smulders, is 'a market leader in the construction of steel foundations for offshore wind farms'

The contract in 2017 was for 11 'jackets' for Vattenfall�s European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre in Aberdeen Bay AND for the Beatrice Field in the Moray Firth

The first batch of four tops for the Beatrice jackets arrived in March 2017, followed at monthly intervals by another eight.

Sarens Crane

Sarens SGC - 120 crane installed in May 2017 has a lifting capacity of 3200 tonnes
