Local Whitburn rifle range Home

Rifle butts
From WW1 and until recently these mounds of earth (butts) were used for rifle practice.
The site also contains evidence of WW1 practice trenches and ancient ridge & furrow field layout.
There was an army camp built nearby and the range has been used by a local rifle club.
It is a protected site although there is ongoing residential building on the site of the former army camp to the west.
